Virtual Auction
Our new NALS Virtual Auction will return for the 2nd Virtual International Lily Show and Symposium. The NALS Virtual Auction will be run on Auctria.com. If you’ve ever used eBay, you will be familiar with how Auctria works. It is user-friendly and has many common features.
To register and verify your e-mail address before you bid. Or to view the available auction items, please click the 'Register' and 'Auction' links at the top of the pages on the NALS Virtual Auction website.
Click on the “Register” link at upper right and fill out the requested information. As part of the registration, you’ll also need to register a credit card, but be assured that NALS does not keep your credit card information on file. Once you’re finished, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to your account. Then you can bid once the auction opens.
Bidding opens at 12:01 a.m. Central on Sunday, August 21. The auction will run for six days, ending at 10 p.m. Central on Friday, August 26. During this time, all items are available for bidding.
As with eBay, Auctria has a feature called “proxy bidding.” With proxy bidding, you can enter your highest bid, but your actual bid amount is only increased when someone else outbids you, up to your maximum. The NALS 2022 auction will have “anti-sniping” rules. If a new high bid is placed on an item within two minutes of the auction end, that auction will be extended another five minutes. This prevents last-second “snipers” from winning unfairly.
After the auction end time, you will receive an e-mail with a checkout link for the items you’ve won. Alternately, you can click on the shopping cart icon at upper right of the auction site. All prices are in U.S. dollars, and all bids include shipping. Some items are available in the U.S. only or Canada only, so read the descriptions carefully before bidding.
Donations Welcome
Aren’t interested in bidding on auction items, but you still would like to donate to the NALS general/show fund? Click on the “Donate” link found at the top of the pages on the NALS Virtual Auction website and follow the steps to donate.
We are still looking for donations for the auction. Some suggestions include; lily bulbs, seedlings started in pots or test tubes, Lilium-related items suitable for home and garden, lily books, lily photographs, lily paintings, lily apparel, lily note cards, and other items related to lilies.
If you are interested in donating, please reach out to Tracey Nelson at TraceyNelson@me.com, Joe Astarita at joeastarita@gmail.com, or Jim Daniel at gymnbob@yahoo.com. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.
